ALL NAVODYA ENTRANCE EXAM ADMISSION CRITERIA

Every year Navodya Vidyalaya take admission for 6th , 9th and 11th classes.

Admission for 6th class :

A candidate who is studying class V in a district is allowed to apply for admission to JNV in the same district only. To apply for the JNVST can do it by following the steps given below.

NVS Class 6 Admission: How to apply

• Visit the official website at navodaya.gov.in.
• On the homepage click on the ‘NVS class VI registration’ link.
• Next, click on the “Click here for Class VI Registration”
• Fill out the application form
• Upload all the required documents
• Pay the application fee
• Submit the form and keep the printout of it for further use.

Note:-    At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open which will be filled from Urban and Rural Area candidates of the districts on the basis of merit. For more related details candidates can check the official site of NVS.

Admission for 9th class :

• The eligibility criteria for students seeking admission to JNV Class 9 are as follows. 

1. Students who have studied in Class 8 in Academic Year in one of the government-recognised schools (where JNV is functioning) are eligible. 
2. Students from the district where JNV is situated are eligible.
3. Students who plan to appear for the entrance examination must also pass Class 8. 
4. The students who are eligible for admission should be born between May 1, 2008, and 30 April 2010. 
5. Students from all categories can apply for admission, including students from SC/ST and OBC categories for whom the eligibility criteria apply as well. 

• Application Process

  The application process can be described through the submission of the application form for JNV admission to Class 9. The steps are mentioned below. 

  1. Visit the main website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
  2. Then click on the link that appears to be the JVNST Class 9 Application Form. 
  3. Fill in all the details and required information in the available columns. 
  4. Therein, all the necessary documents shall be duly attached. 
  5. Press the ‘submit’ button to make things final. 

  Documents Required 

  It is important to note the required documentation for JNV admission for Class 9 as it is mandatory to submit the following documents along with the application form.

  1. Proof of Date of Birth 
  2. ID proof of students as per NVS rules and specifications 
  3. Aadhar Card of students 
  4. Residence certificate, only for NIOS students 

Admission for 11th class :

• The student who has passed 10th class examination from any recognized school of government can apply for admission.
• There is no entrance test for there admission. Admissions are given according to the merit of the students of 10th class with respect to the vacancies in this school.
